Children need to eat a healthy, varied diet to provide them with the nutrients they need for their growth and development.

Though the groups of foods needed (fruits, veg, protein etc) remain the same as an adult, the portions of food will vary depending on the age of the child.

The NHS recommends 180 minutes of physical activity a day for children between 1-5 years old and 30 minutes a day for those under 1.
